From 10–12 June 2026, the SEANERGYS Integration Hackathon brought together 20 participants from 9 European institutions at LuxProvide in Luxembourg for three days of intensive collaboration.

The objective was ambitious: to integrate key SEANERGYS components and validate the first end-to-end workflow combining technologies developed by multiple European partners.

Key results include:

Monitoring across European Hosting Sites through interoperable data collection and visualization mechanisms:

  • LLview dashboard (presented at ISC’26): unified monitoring and visualization of HPC systems.
  • 3D Visualization: interactive representation of HPC infrastructure and operational metrics.

Energy-aware scheduling capabilities, enabling Hosting Sites to implement energy policies and reward users whose workloads make efficient use of HPC resources.

Beyond the technical results, the event demonstrated the strength of the European HPC ecosystem. Researchers, software engineers, and infrastructure experts from multiple countries worked side by side to solve integration challenges that are often difficult to address in distributed environments.

The hackathon delivered the first integrated SEANERGYS prototypes, providing a solid foundation for future project milestones and developments planned through 2029.

Hosted by LuxProvide, the event also demonstrated the ability of Luxembourg’s HPC ecosystem to support international collaborative development activities and contribute to a more sustainable and interoperable European supercomputing landscape.
