NTUA is Greece’s leading engineering university and one of the country’s most prestigious institutions. The university’s symbol depicts Prometheus bringing fire from the gods to mankind.

The SEANERGYS project is based at the NTUA Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), which is part of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and was founded in 1992. Since then, the ICCS has participated in a range of European and national competitive research programmes, inlcuding the REGALE_EU project, which was one of the predecessors of SEANERGYS.

Role in SEANERGYS

The SEANERGYS group at NTUA has strong expertise in computer architecture, operating systems, computing systems, and large-scale parallel and distributed systems (HPC, HPDA and cloud computing). Within the project, the group will work on advanced scheduling policies based on co-scheduling and the exploitation of moldable jobs to improve the throughput and energy efficiency of modern supercomputers.
