The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is one of Europe’s leading universities, with seven schools covering the major domains of science. The SEANERGYS project group is based in the Department of Computer Engineering, which is part of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. Here, both fundamental research and holistic solutions for information and communication technology systems are developed and taught.

Role in SEANERGYS

Within SEANERGYS, the TUM CAPS team is responsible for defining the details of the overall architecture of the SEANERGYS solution – an activity that spans all project partners. Key tasks include:

– collecting use cases,

– defining requirements,

– assessing features and interfaces of existing components,

– defining the overall system architecture,

– defining interfaces and data standards,

– defining KPIs and target workloads.

In addition to the architectural efforts, TUM also develops and contributes to several software components like Flux, QMPI, Sys-Sage and MemAxes to the SEANERGYS solution, as well as works on new tools, as well as modeling efforts for anomaly detection, dynamic resource management and efficient co-scheduling.
